On March 8th, 2023, our team at farida_global_organization organized an event at the Marktkirche in Essen city , to celebrate International Women’s Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event featured a panel discussion entitled “Strong Women Shaping Their Future – The Courage to Change the World a Little Bit Every Day,” moderated by Dr. Michaela Z\u00f6hrer, a peace and conflict researcher. The panelists included Sonka Mehner, a lawyer and specialist in criminal law; Sanaa Alnemat, the director of women’s and survivors’ affairs at Farida e.V.; Jawahir Cumar, the managing director of the Stop Mutilation e.V. counseling center; and Mevlida Macanovic, a peace activist and researcher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are very proud of all the strong women who joined our panel discussion and shared their inspiring stories and perspectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is essential that women and girls are included in decision-making and solutions not only on International Women’s Day, but every day. Farida Global is committed to promoting women’s voices and creating opportunities for them to contribute to a better world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Along with the panel discussion, we also showcased our photo exhibition #TheWomanWhoBeatISIS .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Along our the panelists and speakers, we would also like to express our gratitude to @mit.jans.augen the pastor of the Evangelical Church in Essen, Marion Greve , the superintendent of the Evangelical Church in Essen and last but not least, Saeed Qasim Sulaiman Co-Executive Director of Farida Global and founder of “The Women Who Beat ISIS” Exhibition, for their keynote and closing remarks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
