Guidance on Supporting Survivor Applications under the Yazidi Survivors Law

To support survivors of CRSV and ISIS crimes from the Yezidi, Christian, Turkmen, and Shabak communities, our team at Farida Global Organization (Farida e.V.) together with a group of survivors from Iraq, Germany, Canada, and Australia, has developed a comprehensive survivor-centric guide on how to best support survivor applications under the Iraqi Yazidi Survivors Law (YSL). This guidance is intended as a resource for policymakers, case workers, and other stakeholders who seek to facilitate survivor access to reparations under the YSL

We are pleased to announce that the guidance is now published on our website in German, Arabic and English. The guidance can be downloaded in all three different languages via the links provided below:

  1. German version can be downloaded here.
  2. Arabic version can be downloaded here.

For further insights and exchange, we are furthermore grateful to announce that a virtual briefing on our guidance will be held on March 20th, 2023, at 4:00 pm CET/6:00 pm Iraqi time.
