We are delighted to host Ms. Marie Oniwa, the Women’s Protection Advisor at the United Nations Mission (UNAMI), from the Human Rights Unit in Erbil.
During her visit, Ms. Marie Oniwa gained insight into Farida Global’s initiatives and projects in Duhok, Sharya. She had the chance of attending an ongoing awareness session about the Yazidi Female Survivors Law (YSL) at the Farida Global Center. Here, she engaged in meaningful discussions with our legal experts and participants.
Ms. Oniwa attentively listened to the Farida Global team as they shared valuable insights and experiences regarding their work with survivors and internally displaced persons (IDPs). Furthermore, she discussed the significant challenges hindering the return of displaced individuals.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Ms. Marie Oniwa, UNAMI, as well as Ms. Wareen and Ms. Tamara, for their dedicated efforts in supporting the implementation of YSL No. 8 for 2021.
نحن سعداء بزيارة المستشارة في حماية المرأة في بعثة الأمم المتحدة (يونامي)، السيدة ماريى أونيوا، من قسم حقوق الإنسان إلى أربيل. خلال هذه الزيارة، تعرّفت المستشارة بشكل وثيق على أنشطة ومشاريع منظمة فريدة العالمية في مناطق دهوك وشاريا. وقامت بالمشاركة فيجلسة توعوية حول قانون الناجيات الإيزيديات، حيث ناقشت قضايا مهمة مع محامي المنظمة والمشاركين.
تفضل المستشارة بالاستماع بتمعن إلى موظفي المنظمة وقامت بتقييم تقدم برامجها وأهم التحديات التي تواجهها، خصوصًا تلك التيتتعلق بالناجيات.
