Farida Global Organization was honored to participate in the 2nd Annual Conference on the Yazidi Survivors Law (YSL) on June 19th, 2023, coinciding with the International Day for the Elimination of Sexual Violence in Conflict. We proudly showcased our “The Women Who Beat ISIS” Exhibition and facilitated a panel discussion on the implementation of the Yazidi Survivors Law in Baghdad, Iraq.
It was a privilege to discuss the YSL implementation alongside Christian, Turkmen, Shabak, and Yazidi survivors. We express our gratitude to the Iraq Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, the Iraqi Directorate for Survivors Affairs, and IOM Iraq for their collaboration and support.
At Farida Global, we tirelessly advocate for the rights of survivors of CRSV and genocide to be respected, protected, and fulfilled, including ensuring their access to reparations and justice.
The exhibition was funded by our partner European Endowment for Democracy.
