Fire destroys hundreds of IDP tents in Sharya Camp, Iraq

Friday, 4th June 2021 Hundreds of tents burned down in the Sharya camp for internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Duhok province, Iraq when a fire broke out.
370 tents burned due to an electrical fire erupted in the Camp. 933 individuals are currently homeless and awaiting for assistance from NGOs and Government to be provided.
Sharya camp is home to around 17,000 displaced Yazidis who fled Sinjar after the Genocide campaign committed by Islamic State (ISIS) and their attacks in 2014.
We pray for the safety of all the IDPs and call UN, Government, and all actors to provide the shelter, food, health care, and all other emergency assistances immediately to these homeless families.

الجمعة ، 4 حزيران / يونيو 2021 ، احترقت مئات الخيم في مخيم شاريا للنازحين في محافظة دهوك بالعراق ، إثر اندلاع حريق.

احترق 370 خيمة بسبب حريق كهربائي اندلع في المخيم. هناك 933 شخصًا بلا مأوى حاليًا وينتظرون المساعدة من المنظمات غير الحكومية والحكومة.

مخيم شاريا هو موطن لحوالي 17000 من النازحين الأيزيديين الذين فروا من سنجار بعد حملة الإبادة الجماعية الذي ارتكبه تنظيم الدولة الإسلامية (داعش) وهجماتهم في عام 2014.

نحن ندعوا الى الشفاء العاجل للجميع وندعوا من أجل سلامة جميع النازحين

ونطالب الأمم المتحدة والحكومة وجميع الجهات الفاعلة لتوفير المأوى والغذاء والرعاية الصحية وجميع المساعدات الطارئة الأخرى على الفور لهذه العائلات المشردة.
